A doorset, not just a door

A fire door only achieves its rating as a complete, correctly fitted assembly: leaf, frame, seals, hinges, closer, glazing and signage working together. That is why we install certified doorsets rather than swapping leaves into unknown frames, and why fitting tolerances are measured, not eyeballed.

Our installers work in occupied residential blocks, HMOs, schools, healthcare sites and commercial premises across London: flat entrance doors, communal and corridor doors, riser and service cupboard doors, plant rooms and final exits.

Every installation ends with a functional check, photographic sign-off and the documentation your compliance record needs.

How long a doorset holds back fire

Ratings are tested protection periods under BS 476 Part 22 and EN 1634-1. The right rating depends on the door's location in the building's fire strategy, and we confirm it per opening before anything is ordered.

Most of our installs happen with residents at home or staff at work. Expect clear notice, protected floors, one door out of use at a time, and a building that is secure again the same day, every day.

Installation FAQs

A straightforward doorset replacement typically takes half a day including seals, hardware, signage and sign-off. Structural opening work, access control or non-standard sizes add time, which the quote will state per door.
It depends on the door's location and the building's fire strategy: FD30 covers most flat entrance and corridor doors, while FD60 is common for riser cupboards, plant rooms and higher-risk locations. We confirm the rating per opening before ordering.
Certified doorsets come in a wide range of finishes, colours and vision panel options. In conservation and heritage settings we will tell you honestly what can be achieved within certification limits.
A completion certificate, photographic record, and product certification for the doorset and components, compiled per door reference. See our fire door certificate service for the full pack.
