1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Fire Door London UK website at firedoorlondonuk.co.uk and the supply of our services, including fire door surveys, inspections, certification, installation and remedial works. By using this website or engaging us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
Quotations are prepared from the information you provide or from our own site survey. A quotation remains open for acceptance for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Where works are quoted from information supplied by you and the actual site conditions differ materially, we reserve the right to revise the quotation before starting work, and we will always agree any change with you first.
3. Bookings and site visits
Booking requests made through this website are requests only until we confirm them by phone or email. Site visits take place Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm unless agreed otherwise. You are responsible for arranging safe access to the doors included in the agreed scope, including notice to residents where required.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or rebook a confirmed visit free of charge with at least 2 working days' notice. Where access is not available at an agreed visit and we have not been notified, we may charge a reasonable attendance fee, which we will state at the time of booking.
5. Works and materials
All works are carried out by competent, trained operatives using components compatible with the fire door assembly concerned. Where a doorset or component cannot be brought to certified performance by remediation, we will tell you and recommend replacement rather than carry out work that cannot achieve compliance.
6. Certification and documentation
On completion of installation or remedial works we provide documentation evidencing the work carried out, which may include photographs, product data sheets, certificates and a compliance register. Documentation relates to the condition of the doors at the date of the works. Ongoing compliance depends on use, maintenance and subsequent routine checks, which remain the duty of the responsible person.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are as stated in the accepted quotation. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, invoices are payable within 14 days of issue. We may charge statutory interest on overdue amounts under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for business customers.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the price paid for the services giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
